Braided Headband - Shared Hairdo Spin-off

As I promised yesterday, this is an additional way that you could do yesterday's hairdo that Christine so nicely shared with us. I know there have been all kinds of "fake headband" styles with braids, twists, etc. on other blogs & I don't know if there is anything like this elsewhere ... but I was just going off of what Christine had showed me - except ...

When I got to this point of the hairdo from yesterday (having done this on both sides):
And maybe you'd already thought this when you saw the above picture in yesterday's post .... but instead of taking the ends and pulling them upwards, I took them and fastened them underneath the back of Goose's hair, turning it into a head banded look instead.
So from the side, the braids hide underneath the back of her hair. As I mentioned yesterday, I needed to pull these ponytails tighter into the braid - but you get the idea.

And again, a view from the top.
This was her half-hearted smile when she found out she wasn't done! I made her get back up on the counter so I could do the "real" hairdo Christine had sent me! In the end she loved the "real" one best - but I just wanted to show you, that you could get 2 hairdo's out of the one!

Thanks again Christine for the fun idea. And once again, if you need the "how to" for this hairdo - it's the post below this one!

  9. I just found your blog today and absolutely love it! We have trick or treat tonight and my daughter is a rock star. We couldn't figure out a hairdo that would be easy to manage and I am not very good at doing hair. As soon as my daughter and I saw this one, we knew it was the one we were going to attempt. We just tried it and it is PERFECT! Thanks for the detailed step by step directions and the pictures! We'll be coming back to your blog quite often for new hairstyles!
