I used to trim Libby's hair once every 6 to 12 weeks, mainly because she had cut her own hair and had cut a huge chunk almost to the scalp. I had to give her bangs to cover it up a little, and then had to keep cutting it while it grew and evened out. Once the chunk caught up with her bangs, we started growing her bangs out, so I gave her one final trim and haven't cut it since then. That was a year and a half ago. I've been starting to notice some split ends, so I'm going to wait until after her Christmas dance recital, and then trim it. I cut her hair myself, or have my mom (who used to be a cosmetologist) do it. I cut my husband's hair about ever 4 to 6 weeks. I try to go in for a cut every 6 weeks, but sometimes because of finances and, well, life, it doesn't always happen that way. I haven't had it cut since September, and because of our present circumstances, it probably won't happen until January, sometime. I don't have my mom do mine, because when she was cutting hair, my style was not done, and she doesn't want to mess it up. She says that she thinks that if she could just go and watch them one time, she could probably get it. But that opportunity has never come up. She does my highlights, though.

I cut or have my daughter's hair cut 2 or 3 times a year. That is about when it starts looking like it needs it. I have taken her to the local school a few of times. The first couple of times they did just fine, but the last time we had an awful "chunk" missing out of the bottom of her hair and I had to fix it by cutting a couple of more inches off. (I did a better job than they did and I am completely untrained.) She loves her long hair and wasn't happy at all. I think we'll be sticking to a more experianced cosmotologist from now on.

Yes, I've had my hair done at "hair school", but it did take the student longer than normal time to do it. I only get my girlie's hair trimmed or cut once a year but I hardly ever curl it, blow dry it and never flat iron it.

I only get my girls hair cut maybe 2-3 times a year. I have mine done every 10 weeks. I've been to a school before and the prices are better, but the one I went to must have been really bad because it took her an hour to cut my hair in a straight line! (I had really long straight hair and I just wanted a trim.)

The only other note I would add for your readers is that your girls are the most well behaved kids in the world. They were so fun to have at the school. And all the other students I work with were GAGA over there long hair. One of these days you need to measure the length and tell us how very long there hair is. So beautiful. Beautiful girls since the day I met them (three years ago).

Belle and I don't get our hair cut very often--only 2-4 times a year! (I hate to spend the money on it.) We never get split ends. She gets a trim to straighten out uneven growth patterns. I get layers so you don't notice if it is uneven. Sweetheart, on the other end, and their Daddy need a new haircut every 3-4 weeks.
