@Anonymous -- I know what you're referring to, about the dent at the top. I guess I try keep them close to the scalp so I don't get those as much. Maybe I'm just used to the look & so I don't pay as much attention to them I don't know! As far as the parting, have you tried separating them as I show in my video - so they aren't in individual ringlets? Our curls do eventually start going back together a bit, but by making multiple curls out of each ringlet helps prevent that a bit. Or if you feel like they are just parting back out too much, maybe try using more curlers. hth

Loving the curls!!! I have used them a few time and like the curl, but the parts in the hair and the dent at the top are tricky. Even after I hairspray it, a few hour later the hair is just parted where the curlers were in. You know what I mean? Sometimes the curls get twisted at the very top while she sleeps and ruins the look. I've been using the flat iron to smooth out the dents but do you have any suggestions how to avoid the dent at the top? Anyway..love your stuff!

@Anonymous ... I've never done them with just damp hair, but I'm guessing that's part of the reason the curl didn't last as well. Plus I find they don't pull through the curlers near as easily if the hair has started to dry. I'm sure you could use a setting lotion, but I never have - mousse has worked just fine for us, and as I show in the video, I put mousse in each section I part out before I put the Curlformers in- not just all over the head in the beginning. And yes, I hairspray the curls once I've got their hair styled how I want it, so hairspray is always a good thing! :) I'd love to see pictures if you get a chance! hth

I got my curlformers last week, we tryed them saturday but i just damped her hair as it was only washed from the night before, stuck mousse on it and stuck a head hooded dryer for 45min, but the curl only lasted a few hours, so tonight we done it only freshly washed hair and she has fallen asleep with them in.. We will see in the morning if they last longer, as she wants them for her birthday party in a couple of weeks time, so need to get it right... Would setting lotion work better than mousse and can i use hairspray would it hold the curl better when finished...

@Nicole -- I'm so sorry she won't sleep in them. Have you tried just putting them in and using your hair dryer to dry them instead of her sleeping in them? I know it sort of defeats the purpose of the whole "no heat" thing - but you'll get the same results. Or try not putting them so close to her scalp so when she sleeps she can flip them up out of the way easier.

THANK YOU so much for the videos! I bought Curlformers about a year ago (after seeing them on your blog) and I've never been able to get the curl to stay more than 30 minutes in my daughter's hair. I'm excited to try some of your tips and see if I get better results.

I bought some Curlformer imitation curlers off Ebay and they are pretty comparable. (I have both.) The real Curlformers are a little nicer, but they work exactly the same and are a little more reasonably priced. I just got them a few weeks ago, so I'm still playing with it. I like them though. Next I want to try the extra-wide.
